About

I’m a collage artist & photographer working from Alaska & Antarctica. I started creating photographs 20 years ago and over the last decade have been creating digital collage with my iPhone as my main creative tool. Occasionally, I also create mixed media collages.

My primary focus is on creating stories that don’t exist. There is a lot of mystery in everything around us and my work tries to deepen the mystery by pulling together elements that don’t exist together in real life. My images ask ‘what if’ this is the way things are, or could be. I am never trying to represent reality or show you want you can see for yourself.

I like bending shadows & light, which I often manufacture, in order to create the stories that I envision. I spend a lot of time traveling and this heavily informs my work, as well as provides many of the resource material that I use.

For me, the only thing more fun than creating digital collage & photographic images is teaching others how to do it too. I teach iPhone photography & editing courses as well as iPhone digital art and other photography classes. If you want to learn more, I hope you’ll join in to learn how you too can create beautiful works of your own.
